Privacy Policy
Confidentiality
All session notes are anonymised and kept on a password protected secure system in a password protected document. I have full indemnity insurance to cover my practice as a therapist. All information kept about you is stored in line with the GDPR laws.
Counselling and psychotherapy governing bodies including the BACP and the BPC require that all therapists attend one-on-one professional supervision on a regular basis. To support our work together I may discuss anonymised aspects of a session in supervision. Neither your identity nor any of your personal details will be disclosed during these sessions.
What we discuss is strictly confidential. I will never disclose any information about you directly, or what we discuss to any third party, unless there is a risk to yours or another’s safety or wellbeing, in such circumstances I will always try to discuss this with you and gain your consent.
If we are meeting online, via Google-meet or Zoom, I ask that you find a space that lends itself to privacy, so that neither of us will be overheard or interrupted. It is a GDPR requirement to gain consent to record a session; this applies to therapist and patient. I will never record sessions and I ask that you do not either.
I ask that mobile phones are switched off and put away during all therapy sessions including online ones.
